Axsome settles all SUNOSI patent litigation, grants generic entry from 2040

Axsome Therapeutics resolved all patent litigation related to SUNOSI (solriamfetol) by settling with the remaining first-to-file generic applicant, allowing five companies to sell generic versions starting September 1, 2040 (or March 1, 2040 if no pediatric exclusivity). The settlement extends market exclusivity for the FDA-approved narcolepsy/sleep apnea treatment by approximately 14-15 years, protecting revenue during that period.
