OPT demonstrates 0.5MWh power generation from DHS-funded PowerBuoy deployment

Ocean Power Technologies reported successful field performance of its MERROWS-equipped PowerBuoy system supporting U.S. Coast Guard maritime domain awareness off San Diego, validating technology maturity and operational scalability. The company is also expanding its defense business, hiring a new U.S. Defense Senior Director and implementing operational scaling tools to support larger deployments.
